Seventy-two hours, by the hour

Most forecasts hand you one word for tomorrow. This is every hour of the next three days at once, so you can see where the clear run actually falls.

  • Now at the top, then clockwise. One spoke per hour, right the way round to three days out — the marks read 0h, 12h, 24h, 36h, 48h, 60h.
  • Longer spoke, better odds. The inner edge is nought; the four faint rings are the quarter marks — 25, 50, 75 and 100 per cent.
  • A flat ring is an answer too. Spokes all sitting near the middle means it is a coin toss for three days running — which is the forecast saying so, instead of picking an icon for you.
