The Sun, rendered from real positions
For organisations

Our numbers. Your imprint.

Everything Cycles Arc publishes under its own name can be published under yours. The engines compute for the place and span you name, the press sets the pages in your colours and with your mark, and you put it in front of your readers, customers, staff or visitors. We stay in the method note.

Six objects

What can carry your name.

Each of these is a finished object the press already makes. Under your imprint it is set to your place and dates, your typography and palette, and delivered as print-ready files or as a live feed.

The swap

The same page, under another masthead.

Nothing about the computation changes when the name on the sheet does. The eclipse table below is a real page out of our own press; put your masthead on it and it is your page, set to your place, your dates, your type and your palette. The method note at the foot is the only thing that stays ours.

The other direction

Your data, our press.

You do not need our numbers to use our press. Bring the tables, schedules, survey or calendar you already publish and we typeset them to the same standard as everything in our catalogue — plates, books, cards, calendar feeds — print-ready, in your mark, on your schedule. Where our computed data would improve a page, we will say so and show it beside yours; where it would not, we leave your numbers alone.

Who tends to ask

Eight kinds of desk.

Different objects, one press. If your work involves telling people something true about the sky, their clock, the ground or the weather, this is the shape of it.

How it runs

Three steps, and you see the object before you commit.

1

Tell us what you publish

The object, the place or places, the span, the audience, and roughly how many. A paragraph is enough to start.

2

We set a proof

A real page for your place and dates, in your mark and colours, with the method note drafted. You see the actual thing before anything is agreed.

3

You publish

Print-ready PDF, a feed, or files on a schedule — a yearly edition, a monthly insert, a nightly card. Corrections and reprints run through the same press.

Non-negotiable

What stays true under any name.

Your imprint changes the face of the page, not the substance. These do not move, and they are the reason the page is worth putting your name on.

Data and API at volume

Or take the numbers instead of the pages.

Everything on this site is a thin layer over the same set of answers, and you can have those answers directly. Four families, one request each, no interpretation attached and nothing you have to un-guess afterwards. Live now: Sky and Body, each described in full on its own page. Earth and weather are forthcoming.

And the documents

The finished object is an answer too.

The books, plates and calendars are not a separate business: they are the same answers, typeset. If you want the finished document rather than the raw numbers, ask for that instead — generated on demand for the place and span you name, delivered back to you, under our name or under yours.
